DRAWINGS
Drawing has always been a practice of playful observation for me. Observations of my surroundings and expressions of my internal ideas. Sparked by the questions of curiosity, I'm drawn to describe the answers of my imagination with strokes of contour lines, cross hatching and descriptive ink wash. When I'm drawing ideas, I see the possibilities as endless.. The freedom to dream in lines and strokes are always present. This freedom is expressed when I interpret the human form in charcoal, when I describe the personality of a portrait I sketch while commuting, or when capturing the mood of an on-site location in pen and ink wash. My drawings are the experiences I have with each subject, enjoyed through the creative process and depicted with a tools of graphite, ink and charcoal.
